'"Fact Checkers" have now provided the perfect example to describe what "gaslighting" entails. Yes, this is a few months old, but I couldn't stop thinking about how crazy it was.
In case you don't pay attention to this stuff, Joe Rogan claimed CNN changed the color of his Instagram video. Of course, this blew up and gained a lot attention (Screenshot below)

The Associated Press then claims this is false. Here's their summary:

This is the most incredible "fact check" I've ever seen. The AP "found no sign that the color has been altered". (And, unsurprisingly, CNN denies it)
I'm literally looking at the video and can see it with my OWN EYES!
They're actually telling you not to believe your own eyes! The only thing more ballsy would be to change the definition of gaslighting and pretend it has a completely different meaning! So, I'm documenting the current definition as provided by Merriam-Webster in case they ever try to do that!

The AP indisputably caused people to "question the validity of their own...perception of reality". This causes psychological manipulation because it makes you think you're going crazy.
Anyways, for the handful of people who care, I apologize for my delay in posts. As a follow up, my employer (of which I've worked for over 20 years) is not collecting vaccination status of their employees and is not mandating vaccinations or testing. So, that's great news for me and I appreciate their stance on all of this. I enjoy my job and was in no position to up and leave the company.
My heart goes out to those who have lost their jobs and livlihoods due to this madness. Which leads me to another thing that's become increasingly important: Building community.
I strongly encourage everyone to get to know people in their local church. Are churches perfect? No. Does everyone in the church share your same political ideology? No. However, you have a group of people who are committed to a relationship with Jesus Christ. This provides a foundation for relationship/community building.
I know of at least a few people in my church who would help me in need and I'd do the same for them, no questions asked. This is such an awesome reassurance.
Until next time, take care everyone!
